2016 Top 20

My Top 20 from 2016

I have a confession, 2015 I read 596 books. That's a lot of flipping books. The middle of June 2016 I was on-par to hit a number pretty close to that. I was sitting at 205 when I quit smoking. I was prepared to gain some weight but I didn't realize I wouldn't be able finish a book (or 2) in one sitting. I finish the year with 307 books read.

I picked up some new favorite authors in 2016 and some of my all time favorites made return appearances. My top 20 is eclectic mix of: hot steamy smut; side splitting funny; tear jerking; thought provoking; topped with a couple of twisted evilness.

Individual Top Picks:
Hot Steamy Smut: RoomHate by Penelope Ward
Side Splitting Funny: Anything Minor by Kate Stewart
Tear Jerking: Curtis by Nicole Edwards
Thought Provoking: It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover
Twisted Evilness (I can't pick just one!!!): King by TM Fraizer & Wolf by Jessica Gadziala

Cheers!
Looking forward to 2017!

November Reading Wrap-up

The Holidays are here! Which means the Holiday theme books are out! I read Alexa Riley's Stealing Christmas and re-read Snow and Mistletoe just to get the season started.

I will head into December with 10 books to read to make my goal of 300 for 2016! My TBR list includes (but certainly not limited to!):
Heat Wave by Karina Halle (currently reading)
Silent Night by Lexi Buchanan
Wicked Impulse by Chelle Bliss
Hit the Spot by J.Daniels
Rusty Nail by Lani Lynn Vale
Until Ashlyn by Aurora Rose Reynolds
Needing the Memories by Terri Anne Browning
Max by Sawyer Bennett
Everything for Her by Alexa Riley

Now for my November Reading Wrap-up, I can't pick a favorite!

Crazy Good Love

My debut novel is getting closer to being done. It is currently on round two of editing. Cover revel will be happening soon. Here is a sneak peek...

CRAZY GOOD LOVE
From the minute I saw him, Steve has consumed all of my thoughts and just the thought of him has influenced my actions. We didn’t officially meet until my first day on campus, but I did see him prior to that when I attended freshman orientation. He was hard not to notice: he stood 6’4”, blonde hair, blue eyes and a hard body; the perfect blend of clean cut athlete but with a little bit of bad boy mixed in. If it weren’t for the tattoos peeking out of his shirt sleeve, barbell piercing in the top of one ear I would say he looked like he belonged on a football field. To further mess with my perception of him, he’s a member of to the Phi Delta fraternity and was volunteering his time by helping out during the orientation. I was thankful they separated students and parents during the orientation; it gave me the opportunity to steal glances at the athletic bad boy...without my dad noticing.

October: Reading Wrap Up

October Reading Wrap Up

I got a little crazy this weekend, I am reading two books at the same time....not something I've done before. I'd already started The Player by Claire Contreras when the long awaited Preppy by TM Frazier came out. So if I'm being completely honest, I am current reading The Player and sneaking pages of Preppy.

My favorite for this month, (lets face it picking a favorite for the year is going to be impossible):
Four Letter Word by J. Daniels; followed very closely by Taming Moretti by MJ Carnal
